Game Time!

How a sports and concert venue simplified the process of tracking seasonal hour and wage information for nearly 5,000 workers.

It’s a challenge to schedule and track the hours for nearly 5,000 ushers, food service, and guest relations employees working seasonally at baseball, hockey and basketball games, and headline-act concerts.  Each part-time worker is available only at a certain time, and wage rates can vary during one event as workers transfer departments.

US Cellular Field (formerly Comiskey Park) and United Center in Chicago use InfoTronics systems to track and monitor employee time and wage information for over 5,000 workers.

Ushers, guest relations, and security personnel clock in on InfoTronics bar-code readers to work at baseball, basketball, hockey games and concert events. InfoTronics software automatically tracks and calculates union pay policies, wage rates, tardies, and exports into payroll for accurate processing.

The system makes it easy for managers to match requested work schedules to the actual game and concert appearances.
